HOLIDAY TRADITIONS TO START WITH YOUR KIDS

During the holiday season, let us remember the most precious gifts: being together, sharing simple acts of beauty and lovingness and fun. Not all gifts are found in catalogs or websites. The simple gifts we cherish are always returned!

A Book for Everyone

A fun idea to countdown the days until Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanza. Shop at a children’s consignment store such as “Once Upon a Child” or “Goodwill” to get your books in good condition for only around $1. Also you can get inexpensive books from ordering from our school catalogs through scholastic books.  This is a good alternative to candy.  Promotes literacy and counting!

Cookie Decorating

Children love to help in the kitchen. It gives them a chance learn about math and to be creative! Share recipes with your child that have been passed down to you from your parents.

Have a Christmas Movie Night

Enjoy those holiday classics, your kids will bound to love them! Make some popcorn and spend some time together!

We would like to wish everyone a
Safe & Happy Holiday Season
from all of us at
Harlem Academy Child Care Center
