2014 Circles of Care℠ Conference
Our 19th annual Circles of Care Conference is a wonderful opportunity for parents, family childcare providers, home-schoolers, administrators, and teachers of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, & after-schoolers to learn new techniques that resonate with children. Here, you'll discover interactive games and toys from the multitude of exhibitors on hand that will keep your children engaged and excited to learn more. Presentations, age-specific workshops, hands-on experiences and exhibits will provide information and resources.
This day long conference will open with our fabulous keynote, Ron Mohl. Ron brings over 14 years of experience in the education industry to his position of Lead Educational Presenter for Lakeshore Learning Materials. He has presented to school districts, public and private institutions, Head Start programs, and military bases across the United States.
In fact, he was one of our special guests at last year's conference in which he presented Mix, Match, and Move: Healthy Habits with Movement. Ron uses magic to take students on an interactive journey in the world of S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math).
Back by popular demand, Glen Beitmen “The Wild Wizard”, at the Edison Ford Winter Estates has entertained and educated children of all ages with enthusiastic performances and hands on science shows. Glen takes the mystery out of science for children and adults. Glen will present several workshops including one that will offer participants a full years’ worth of science curriculum!
Many of our wonderful exhibitors will be returning as well as some new ones so you will have a chance to shop and view many of the new products for your classrooms. If you would like to showcase your products at Circles of Care Conference, please download the exhibitors packet and registration form and mail it to us.
One and two hour workshops designed to enlighten & empower you with new teaching methods, will be presented for the remainder of the day. These workshops will provide lots of choices on many of the current hot trends in early learning. Workshop topics include music and movement, process art, conflict resolution, mini-mathematicians, new ideas for hands-on activities, environmental design for infants and toddlers, brain development, working with dual-language learners, yoga for young children, positive behavior strategies and biting prevention. We have packed the day with enough workshops so you can get 6.5 in-service hours.
