HOW CAN YOU BE MORE INVOLVED IN YOUR CHILD'S EARLY EDUCATION?

Volunteering.pngVolunteer as Class Parent: If you have more time to give, this is a great way to be a part of your child’s early education. Share your talents! Please let your child’s teacher know if you would like to volunteer in the classroom. We LOVE volunteers!

Be a Class Reader: Offer to come in to read to the whole class of children or to individual children who need more support.

Communicating: Give positive feedback and show appreciation for teachers and the principal. Model good manners in front of your children.

Collaborating with the Community: Be a role model; be active in community service yourself or together with your child. Make donations and offer to help someone in need.

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT PARTNERSHIP

Joseph H. Messina is partnering with Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida. This is a local organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Starting in November, children ages 4 through 8 will participate in activities once a week introducing them to personal economics, the importance of economic exchange, how members of our community benefit from and contribute to community’s successes. These activities will not only empower children but also encourage them to make observations, collaborate with their classmates and use critical thinking and decision making skills.
