OFF THE DIRECTOR'S DESK

Thanksgiving Day is Nov. 22nd. We feel very grateful to be part of your children's life and yours.  We hope you enjoy this Holiday in good health and with your loved ones.

Here is a fun Fact: When Abe Lincoln declared Thanksgiving a national holiday, it was thanks to the tireless efforts of a magazine editor named Sarah Josepha Hale. Her other claim to fame?  She also wrote the nursery rhyme, "Mary had a Little Lamb."

From all our Teachers and Staff at Children's Garden of LaBelle,
THANK YOU for giving us the opportunity to be a part of your child’s early years!

Thanksgiving-Dinner

Classroom feasts to celebrate Thanksgiving will be on Friday November 16th. Each parent will have the opportunity to bring a dish that is a tradition for their family on Thanksgiving or bring a dish that represents their culture.  Families are welcome to attend the feast with their child.  Feast will be during the classrooms regularly scheduled lunch time.

We will be closed on Thursday and Friday November 22-23 for Thanksgiving Break.

FALL FESTIVAL

Thank you to all the parents who donated pumpkins and hay for our fall festival and all the parents who attended.  You made your child’s day extra special! view some of the pictures in our Facebook page

EDUCATION IS A TEAM EFFORT BETWEEN BOTH PARENTS & TEACHERS

work together1. Stop making excuses for your kids. Let your kids learn from their mistakes.

2. Make sure they are doing their work. Now is the time to learn responsibility.  Hold your child accountable and follow through.

3. Cut out the distractions. Limit technology such as T.V., IPads and computers and get outdoor exercise, socialize and read books.

4. Model good habits at home. Kids learn from parents first. Be engaged, concerned and aware.  Model kind behavior and good manners.

5. Work with their Teachers not against them. Working together we can support your child to reach his/her highest potential.

VETERAN'S DAY

veterans-day-heartsOn Sunday, November 11th, Americans will celebrate Veterans Day. The special holiday is dedicated to the brave men and women of the armed forces who risk their lives on a daily basis to keep the rest of us safe and free.  They include members of the US Army, Navy, Marine Corps, National Guard, Air Force, and the Coast Guard.  They come from all walks of life; they are parents, children and grandparents.  They are friends, neighbors and coworkers, and an important part of the community.

We love our veterans!
