SAFETY TIPS FOR TRICK OR TREATING

trick or treatChildren should always go out trick or treating accompanied by a responsible adult. If you have a group of kids going, the parents should choose two or three of them to go along and keep an eye on things.

Instruct your children not to eat any treats until they bring them home to be examined by you. This way you can check for any problem candy and get the pick of the best stuff!

Instruct your child to never go into the home of a stranger or get into their car. Explain why this is not a good idea and what to do if someone approaches them and tries to talk to them.

ABOUT PUMPKINS

As we all know pumpkins are a great way to introduce the life cycle of many plants. Pumpkins allows children an inside look at growth and development starting from a seed to a fruit.  Along with that children have a love for Jack-O-Lanterns whose wide range of facial expressions will help to create a discussion about different emotions. The best part is that pumpkins come in a variety of shapes and sizes.  So this month the students will be learning about pumpkins and will also have the opportunity to carve pumpkins inside their classrooms!
