The Children's Learning Center at FSW News

Just when you are feeling comfortable with your child's teacher.............well, your child turns a year older and they are ready to move to another classroom.  Where has the year gone????????

It is important to give yourself and your child a chance to get comfortable with the classroom and to bond with the new teachers.  This process won't always happen instantly.  As everyone has their own unique personality, you will probably find that the new teacher may do things a little differently than your child's previous teacher.  Understand that this part of the transition process of leaving one teacher and moving on to another.  Give time for the new relationship to develop among you, your child, and the new teacher as  you adjust to a different style.

SouthernSnoBalls.jpgSNOBALL DAYS

Southern Snoballs will make a stop at the center on Thursday, August 3rd at 10am.  Remember to bring $2 so that your child can enjoy the tasty treat with his friends and teachers.

We ask that your child wear CLOSED TOED shoes to school.  This is a safety issue.  Children are more likely to trip or fall when wearing sandals or shoes that do not properly fit.

medical form.jpgRemember to ask for up-dated medical forms when your child receives immunizations or yearly physicals.  It is imperative that we keep our files current.  (A friendly reminder will be on the Check -in Computer)  These forms can be faxed to 239-267-1825 from your pediatrician as copies are now accepted.

There will be several new faces at the center this year.  Miranda  Morrow and Erin Tucker will be joining the FSW family as Infant/Young toddler teachers.  We are very excited with the knowledge/experience that these two are bringing to the center.  We can't wait for you to meet them!!

And for those of you who don't know, Ms. Tanzie and Ms. Chandra will be leaving the center to pursue other interests.  We wish them well in their new endeavors.

Fruity Frozen Yogurt Snacks.jpg

These Frozen Fruity Yogurt Bites are super popular and are perfect for hot summer days.  With just few ingredients and no cooking involved, even the smallest toddler can enjoy.

Yogurt of your choice
Any fresh fruit of your choice (raspberries, blueberries, kiwis, mangoes, peaches, etc)

Fill 12 cupcake cases or silicone muffin cups with yogurt.

Add a few pieces of fruit into each cup, pressing them into the yogurt

Place the cups (on a baking pan) into the freezer for a couple of hours until set solid.

Once frozen.....remove from the cases and serve (or bag and place back into the freezer to eat later).
