Children's Garden of LaBelle News

We have had so much fun this summer and wish it could last forever. But the new school year is fast approaching and we want to make sure that every child is ready to begin a more structured schedule. To help your child get back into the school schedule, begin talking to them about school, about what they will do each morning to get ready for school and begin setting an earlier bed time. Be sure to bring your children to the Open House on Saturday, August 10 to allow them to meet their new teachers and see the room so they will be more comfortable on the first day of school.

Open House will be Saturday, August 10 from 8 am until 10 am. Stop by any time between these hours to meet your child’s teachers, ask questions, see the room and help your child have a smoother transition on the first day of school.

Please return all enrollment paperwork by August 12. If you need new paperwork, please see Mayte in the front office.

first day of schoolFIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Welcome to all of our students and families!  We are so excited to share this new school year with you and look forward to a fun filled year of learning and growing!

Harlem Academy 2015 (11) HearingSCREENING

Monday, August 19th the Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation will be visiting to offer every child free hearing screenings. Make sure to fill out a permission slip so your child can be screened.

We are always looking for clean and sanitary recycled items to use in our STEAM centers.  Things like coffee containers, newspapers, paper towel rolls, empty food containers, large screws and bolts, boxes, etc. make great building materials for the children.  Anytime you have any of these items that you do not want, we would love to have them!

United Mechanical 2017 Jill-Morland

I want to personally invite all of our families to participate in their child’s learning this school year. As a learning method, we implement the Project Approach, which involves the children answering questions that they have about a certain topic and solving real life problems based on the topic. In an effort to implement this method more effectively, we would like to have visitors and guests present the children with various problems that they can use research to solve. If you have any special hobbies or if you would like to share information with the children through reading a story, showing them items related to the topic, or writing them a letter that the teachers can read to the class, please let us know. We would love to have topic experts share with the children!
