Lehigh Community Services logoThe month of February we will be collecting food for The Lehigh Community Center, their biggest needs are:

Canned Food - Vegetables, Fruit, Beans, Meat (Tuna, chicken, etc.), Soup, Pasta Sauce

Dry goods - Pasta, Beans, Rice, Cereal, Ramon, Peanut Butter, Jelly, etc.

Please help us support our local food pantry!

KINDERGARTEN OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR

School Year Begins Monday, January 13, 2020 through Friday, February 28, 2020

Parents of an incoming Kindergarten student (children who will be age five on or before September 1st of every year) that did not attend a District Pre-K school or pre-register during Kindergarten Pre-Registration Period will need to apply in person at a student enrollment office. Parents need to register their child even if they have an older child already in school – there are NO automatic assignments for students that did not attend a District Pre-K School.

  • Photo ID - Anyone who registers a student must show a Photo ID
  • Original Birth Certificate - or copy faxed from any previous K-12 school to our office. (not from a day care or pre-school)
  • Social Security Card - (if available)
  • Health Examination (physical) - The exam must be dated within 12 months prior to registration. Not required for students transferring from any Florida public or private school unless registering a Kindergarten student.
  • Florida Certificate of Immunization - can be obtained free by taking your former state's immunization record to the Lee County Health Department, 3920 Michigan Ave., Ft. Myers, FL. Appointment is required please call 239-461-6100.
  • Proof of Address (Only ONE of the following documents are required)

 Current electric bill, water bill, cable bill or any utility bill that shows a service address.


NUTRITION CORNER

Fruit Nachos

Fruitnachos

Ingredients

1 pear
1 apple
6-7 strawberries
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup caramel
1/4 cup coconut flakes
 

Directions:

Slice your apples and pear in thin halves.
Next chop your strawberries into small pieces.
Sprinkle onto the apple and pears.
Melt caramel and chocolate in separate bowls.
Place in a microwave safe bowl and heat in increments
of 30 seconds on a lower power level.
Stir and heat until melted.
Drizzle onto the fruit.
Sprinkle with coconut.
