Parent Reminders

1. Fees are due every Monday ($10 late fees will be assessed on Tuesday)

2. If your child is absent for three days or more please call the center to inform us

3. Make sure your child has a change of clothes in their cubby in their classroom

4. Pick up time is 2:00 pm Monday thru Friday for Head Start (otherwise a late fee will be assessed)

5. Do your part and volunteer for In-Kind for Head Start

6. Make sure your child’s shot records and physicals are up to date

7. Please check your child in/out in the office and the classroom

We hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday season and is ready to begin the New year on the right foot!!

We want to thank all of our parents and community partners for their support during this past year and for letting us be part of your children's life.

Quality Rating Improvement System

We are very proud of receiving 5 STARS in the voluntary Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS) used by the Early Learning Coalition of SWFL to improve and communicate the level of quality in early childhood programs.


Nutrition Corner

Broccoli Poppers Recipe

  • 4 cup – broccoli, florets



  • 1 cup, shredded – cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp – onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp – garlic powder
  • 1 large – egg
  • 1/4 cup – bread crumbs, plain
  • 1/2 cup, bread crumbs – panko (Japanese bread crumbs)
1. Place broccoli in a food processor and pulse into tiny pieces.  (You can also chop with a knife)
2. Steam your broccoli for 2-3 minutes until tender.
3. Squeeze out the excess water by pressing on the broccoli with a towel. Transfer to a bowl.
4. Add the rest of your ingredients to you bowl except for   Panko, and mix.
5. Scoop out tablespoon size balls of the mixture and roll in Panko.  Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment or sprayed.
6. Bake at 350 degrees F, for 10-15 minutes or until golden   and crispy.
7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.



Saturday, January 28th- Join us as CCSWFL participates in the 6th Annual STEM tour at the FGCU Engineering Building in Estero, FL from 9 am-2 pm.

Elementary, Middle & High School students will be competing in the AWWA Water Tower Competition. CCSWFL will be there to provide Early Childhood extension activities relating to STEM.
