Bad Weather: Child Care of Southwest Florida follows the Hendry County School Board Bad Weather Closing Schedule.  Please tune into your local weather station.  If school is called off or closes early the center will follow suit.  Please be prepared for alternative care in the event of bad weather closures.

fun-dayFUN DAYS

Fridays are Fun Day! The pre-kindergarten and after-schoolers will be having water day every Friday throughout the summer (weather permitted). They will have a blast on the slip & slides or they will go to the city park to play and enjoy the water sprinklers. Parents please send a bathing suit and a towel with your child EVERY Friday.  Remember to label ALL items!  This upcoming Friday, room #8 will also be having a pizza party!

This Thursday July 5th,we are going to watch the Incredibles 1. 



Our Focus on Four Program started on June 4th with Ms. Queen Moore.  The children are working on letter recognition, letter sounds, and writing their first and last names. 

5 children are participating in this program: Aiden Thomas, Terrance McIntyre, Marley McGhie, Israel Reyes, and Aaliyah Davis. They are "continuing” their VPK experiences and are able to practice their developmental skills for kindergarten during the summer. 

4th july cookoutINDEPENDENCE DAY

We will be teaching the children the importance and meaning of Independence Day and each classroom will be making flags for the 4th of July.  The center will be CLOSED July 4 in observance of The Independence Day Holiday.  Have a great day with your family and friends celebrating at the beach, on a picnic, or watching fireworks!  If you go to watch a fireworks display, don't forget to bring earplugs or noise-canceling head- phones your child can wear during the display.  Loud noises may frighten a young child.  To learn more about fireworks safety visit  Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!

  • Using a melon ball, scoop watermelon and freeze for a tasty frozen treat, serve with a glass of low-fat milk
  • Whole-grain tortillas spread with guacamole and black beans
  • Pineapple chunks skewered on whole-grain pretzel sticks


On June 15th we celebrated Father’s (Favorite Male) Day. The children made cards for their fathers, which turned out great!  Shout out to all the teachers for working with the children to make the project a success!!  You are the real MVP’s!!
