May 4th: Cinco de Mayo Celebration.  All the kids are welcome to dress up in festive colors and we will be doing special activities in the classrooms.


May 8th: We will be celebrating Teacher Appreciation Day. Be sure to tell your child’s teacher how much they are appreciated for teaching and caring for your child each day.



May 14th: On Monday, May 14 we will have breakfast for all of the moms.  Be sure to stop by the front office to get yours.  You are all so special and we appreciate everything you do!


This month we want to recognize Ms. Yadira for her enthusiasm in preparing the VPK students for Kindergarten.  She has done a fantastic job engaging the class in fun activities and learning centers.  Thank you Ms. Yadira for everything you do for your students!

We will be offering a 4 year old extension program starting June 4th-July 27th.

Did you know 80% of our students last year, in Focus on Four actually showed improvement in phonetic, math and written skills?  Focus on Four will be returning this summer!  To reserve your child a spot in our 4 year old extension program, please submit a one-time, non-refundable $50 registration fee.  Attendance is extremely important, please ensure your child is in attendance for the entire 8 week program.  For more information on the program please visit


Memorial Day is a day to remember and support all military families who have sacrificed so much for us.  Display a flag, visit grave sites, and show appreciation for the men and women who have served our country.  Below is a link about the history of Memorial Day and things you can do to show you care.

Watermelon Fruit Pizza

½ cup low-fat plain yogurtwatermelon-pizza
1 teaspoon honey
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large round slices watermelon (about 1 inch thick), cut from the center of the melon
⅔ cup sliced strawberries
½ cup halved blackberries
2 tablespoons torn fresh mint leaves
(you can use other toppings like: mango, pineapple, peach, kiwis, bananas, etc.)
Combine yogurt, honey and vanilla in a small bowl.
Spread ¼ cup yogurt mixture over each slice of watermelon. Cut each slice into 8 wedges. Top with strawberries, blackberries and mint.
