work together1. Stop making excuses for your kids. Let your kids learn from their mistakes.

2. Make sure they are doing their work. Now is the time to learn responsibility.  Hold your child accountable and follow through.

3. Cut out the distractions. Limit technology such as T.V., IPads and computers and get outdoor exercise, socialize and read books.

4. Model good habits at home. Kids learn from parents first. Be engaged, concerned and aware.  Model kind behavior and good manners.

5. Work with their Teachers not against them. Working together we can support your child to reach his/her highest potential.

veterans-day-heartsOn Monday, November 11th, Americans will celebrate Veterans Day. The special holiday is dedicated to the brave men and women of the armed forces who risk their lives on a daily basis to keep the rest of us safe and free.  They include members of the US Army, Navy, Marine Corps, National Guard, Air Force, and the Coast Guard.  They come from all walks of life; they are parents, children and grandparents.  They are friends, neighbors and coworkers, and an important part of the community.

We love our veterans!
