Child Care of Southwest Florida follows the Lee County School Board Bad Weather Closing Schedule.  Please tune into your local weather station.  If school is called off or closes early the center will follow suit.  Please be prepared for alternative care in the event of bad weather closures.

All fees are due on Monday’s. By noon on Tuesday’s you will be charged a late fee.

Payment Due Date.jpgIf you have a special circumstance that requires your tuition to be paid after Tuesday of each week, please speak with or email your request including when you need the tuition paid and the reason for the delayed payment to Tara. Examples of this would be you get paid every two weeks, or you only get paid on the 15th and the last day of the month. If the agreement is kept there will be no late fee. If the agreement is not kept a late fee will be charged.

If your child is receiving a scholarship, you agreed to volunteer 1 hour a week at Geraci. If you do not comply your scholarship will be taken. No exceptions. Please coordinate your day and time with Tara.

Parent and Teacher.jpgFriday, September 15th Please set up a time to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss progress and areas that your child may need more help with at home. This should only take about 15 minutes. Conferences will start at 9am and end at 6:15pm.

September is national Library Card Sign up month!

library month.pngLibrary Card Sign-up Month is held in September all across the country to remind parents and caregivers that a library card is the most important school supply of all.

Library cards are free and provide residents with an almost unlimited number of books, movies, music, information sources and professional librarians who are there to help individuals find exactly what they need.

Here is something you and your children can do at home. Follow the link for the instructions:

Strawberries, washed and dried
White chocolate
Blue sugar, edible glitter, or sprinkles (blue sugar is shown in the picture)



Place blue sugar in a bowl. In a separate bowl, melt the chocolate in the microwave on 50% power for two minutes. Stir until the bowl is no longer warm. Then microwave for 30 second intervals at 50% power, stirring after each, until the chocolate is completely melted. Dip the lower two thirds of the strawberries in the melted white chocolate. Then, dip the lower third of the strawberries in the blue sugar or spoon it onto the strawberry. Place on wax paper or Silpat until completely cool.
